How do I keep meats fresh at home?

To keep your meat purchases fresh at home, please use or freeze within 48 hours of purchase to ensure the highest quality you expect. Our sell by dates are only guaranteed in optimal meat case environment. Home refrigerators run warmer than our equipment and that can reduce shelf life. SPERA’S will NOT refund or exchange the product after 48 hours.

My Keg is all Foam?

Kegs need to maintain strict temperatures in order to operate correctly when dispensing.

For the best taste, freshness, and to avoid excessive foaming, store most kegs at a target temperature of exactly38°F (the generally accepted range is 36°F to 40°F).

Why it matters: Storing a keg too warm (above 45°F) releases carbon dioxide rapidly, leading to wild, foamy pours and a quickened stale flavor.

Freezing risks: Avoid dropping the temperature below 28°F. Because beer contains water and alcohol, it freezes at sub-freezing levels, which can permanently ruin the taste and ruin the keg.

What do I do if my keg is foaming?

First stop pumping the tap. If you do not have a kegerator system, If it traveled in an open air truck bed in the heat, if it is a very warm day all of these contribute to a non functioning keg. It is not because it was tilted when moving or shaken up it is strictly a temperature issue. If using an empty plastic garbage can the best course of action is to get as much ice as possible and put it on top and around all sides to cool it as fast as possible. It will not fix the foaming immediately but within 25-40 mins the keg will resume proper function.

What do I do if my catering order does not seem right or is missing items?

Call the store immediately (315)699-4422 ext 4 and we will take actions to rectify any and all issues.

WE DO! They are located up at the front end registers when you cash out. Just ask our friendly cashiers for one in the amount you are looking for any denomination is able to be put on a gift cards.

Take the Cicero Exit off route 81. We are East about 1.4 miles on the south side of rt 31. Just after the roundabout. If you pass the putt putt course or South Bay Road you've gone too far.
